Tars Move up Standings at SCAD

SAVANNAH, Ga. ( November 30, 2018) – The Rollins men's swim team moved up the leaderboard on Friday with a solid showing at day two of the Savannah College of Art & Design Invitational.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Christian Huber, Brady Spear, Paul Tobin and Dan Sulkowski got the Tars started with a second-place finish, stopping the clock at 1:23.99. The mark set a new school record, set at last season's conference championship. 

Sulkowski added an 11th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.22 and sixth-place showing in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.42). Luggi Reno was 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 59.93. 

Huber picked up a 14th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.80. 

Alex Norcini was eight in the 400-yard IM, posting a time of 4:08.59. Elliot Wylie took 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 52.37. 

Rollins is sitting sixth at the event with 204 points. Wingate leads the way with 664, followed by Keiser (504) and SCAD (301). 

The Tars are back in the pool Saturday, December 1 for the third and final day of the SCAD invitational. Prelims get underway at 9 a.m. with the finals to follow at 4 p.m.
