Christian Huber Named SSC Swimmer of the Week

WINTER PARK, Fla. (December 3, 2018) – Freshman Christian Huber produced a dominate performance at the SCAD Invitational over the weekend and was named Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week.

The Sindelfingen, Germany native set three school records and moved up the nation's top times list.

Huber set a record in the 50-yard freestyle prelims 20:69. However he took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle finals in 20.82, the fastest time in program history and currently the 30th best time nationally. He finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.37, another team record and ranked 26th in the nation. Huber posted a 14th place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.80 and ranks 21st in the SSC in the event. He also swam a leg of the Tars 200-yard freestyle relay that finished runner-up in a time of 1:23.99 and set a school record.

Rollins is off for the rest of the semester but will be back Saturday, January 5th hosting SCAD at Alfond Swimming Pool.
