ORLANDO, Fla. (November 5, 2018) – Boasting arguably the most challenging field of any Division II tournament this season, the Rollins Legends Invitational lived up to its billing Monday with low scores over the first two rounds. 

Live Scoring 

The host 10th-ranked Tars sit third among the 13 schools, shooting a 20-over 596 (300-296) at the Country Club of Orlando. Second-ranked Dallas Baptist is running away from the field, shooting a three-over 579 (293-986) for a seven-shot advantage on second place Nova Southeastern. The second-ranked Sharks turned in rounds of 299-287 (586) on Monday. 

The nation's top-ranked player Sophie Madden of Nova Southeastern is atop the leaderboard after day one, shooting scores of 72-68 for a four-under 142. Hanna Harrison of Dallas Baptist (71-70) is second at three-under while DBU's Ann Parmerter is third (74-68) at two-under. 

Seher Atwal leads Rollins, sitting in a tie for seventh at two-over (146). The junior opened with a one-under 71, playing the front at even par and carding eight pars and a birdie on the back. She finished the day with a four-over 75. 

Jennifer Jung is ninth at three-over for the tournament, opening with a 78 and firing a career-best 69 in the second round. The freshman moved up 25 spots on the leaderboard in the afternoon round, playing the front at two-under, getting to three-under before a bogey on No. 12 and then closing with five pars and a birdie. 

Lara van Staden is tied for 15th at seven-over with 151 strokes. She carded a round of 76 to open and fired a 75 in the second round, highlighted by an eagle on the par-five 15th. Sophie Faulkner is tied for 26th, shooting rounds of 75-78 for a nine-over score of 153. Selin Timur turned in rounds of 79-77 and is tie and is tied for 39th with 156 strokes.

Julia Malone leads the Tars individuals playing in the event, grabbing a tie for 44th with rounds of 77-80. Shyanne Lovan is tied for 64th at 20-over, shooting 80-84.

The Rollins Legends Invitational concludes with 18 final holes on Tuesday, November 6. The shotgun start is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
