Tars Sweep Baldwin Wallace

WINTER PARK, Fla.  (December 17, 2018) – Rollins women's swimming finished the meet against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets, earning the win with 111 points while Baldwin Wallace tailled 73.

The women's 200 yard medley relay of Sam Shelly, Darrelle Pawley, Anna Van Zyverden, and Sydney Willis finished first, compiling a time of 1:54.42.

Grace Hansen placed first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:22.07. Dessa Rollins finishing in third place in 5:40.48.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Macy Trattner finished in first place (26.38) and Isabel Roche touched with a time of 27.78, good for third.

Beatriz Olivieri had two first place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle (1:57.03) and the 100 yard IM (1:03.00). Also, Cara Dealy finished third in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:07.06, followed by Julia Rubia in fourth (1:07.41).

In the 50 yard butterfly Rachael Rittichier earned a runner-up time of 29.30, while Jamie Mans came in third (29.47).

In the 100 yard freestyle, Maya Thompson finished in first place (56.38). She also finished runner-up in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of (33.86).

Sam Shelly and Makenzie Grider earned second and third place finishes in the 100 yard free, touching with times of 58:09 and 1:00.03, respectively.

In the 50 yard breaststroke Marisa Gringerich finished first (29.36), and Alana Goodwin in third, hitting the wall at 29.90.

To finished the day, the Tars took home gold in the 200 yard freestyle relay, with the tam of Van Zyverden, Trattner, Hansen, and Willis earning a time of 1:43.96.

The Tars will be back in action next semester on Saturday, January 5 hosting SCAD at Alfond Swimming Pool.
