  • Bryce Peterson would pull one back for the Tars, when he hit a solo shot over right field, but the Argos still led, 4-1.
  • West Florida would then add another run in the bottom of the eighth for security, and the Tars would not be able to get any closer as Avery Geyer was credited with the save ending the game, 5-1.

Brian Brooker flied out to center field, allowing Ryan Smith to score from third base. Freshman Cameron Meehan was then walked with the bases loaded, which brought Bryce Peterson home to score, tying the score at 2-2.
  • The comeback by the Tars didn't last long as the Argos were able to regain their two-run advantage in the bottom of the fifth, leading the Tars 4-2.
