Tars Ranked No. 20 in Division II Preseason Poll

NORMAN, Okla. (August 26, 2019) – Returning one of the nation's top players and coming off a NCAA Tournament appearance, Rollins men's golf checked in at No. 20 in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Preseason Poll.

The Tars are one of seven schools from the Sunshine State Conference and 13 from the South/Southeast Region ranked in the top-25. Defending national champion Lynn took the top spot while Barry comes in at No. 2. West Florida, Florida Southern and Lincoln Memorial round out the top-five. 

Nova Southeastern at six, Florida Tech at eight and Saint Leo at No. 12 join Rollins as the other schools from the SSC in the ranking. 

Rollins was ranked No. 22 in the final regular season poll of last season. 

Leading the Tars into the 2019-20 season is returning All-American Morgan Egloff. The senior was ranked No. 17 in the nation individually and posted a 71.83 stroke average. He was in the top-10 in half of the Tars eight events and shot 12 rounds of par or better. Trystan Perkins also returns to lead Rollins, carrying a 73.71 stroke average last season in his first year with the Tars. 

Rollins will start the year Sept. 16-17 at the Kiawah Island Invitational at the Ocean Course. Trips to St. Augustine and Florence, Alabama precede the Rollins hosted McDonough Cup Oct. 28-29.
