Tars Fourth to Start Jay Jennison Cup

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (September 23, 2019) – Trystan Perkins led the way for Rollins on Monday as the 20th-ranked Tars sit fourth after the first two rounds of the Jay Jennison Cup.


Rollins turned in matching scores of 299 in both rounds at The Palencia Club. Host Flagler is 12 shots up on the Tars and leads the field at 10-over. Belmont Abbey (+14) is second and West Florida (+15) third.

Perkins, the reigning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, is tied for second at one-under, shooting scores of 71-72. He is two back of  leader Carlos Marrero from UWF. 

Senior Will Hall had a breakout day and is tied for 16th at five-over, turning in rounds of 75-74. Morgan Egloff shot 77-75 and is tied for 27th at eight -over. 

Danny Taggart is 10-over and tied for 36th with rounds of 76-78 and Nicholas Diebel is tied for 54th, shooting 82-79 (+16). 

Two Tars are playing as individuals. Justin Karlins is tied for 47th at 13-over (79-78) and Michael Pergamo is tied for 70thwith rounds of 85-83 (+24). 

The final round of the Jennison Cup is slated for Tuesday, September 24. Rollins is grouped with Nova Southeastern and Lander with a shotgun started at 8 a.m. Results will be posted on when available.
