VALDOSTA, Ga. (March 9, 2020) – Morgan Egloff jumped 11 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for ninth as the Rollins men's golf team grabbed 10th place after the second round of the Southeastern Collegiate.
The Tars had an up and down second day and turned in a nine-over 297 to sit 15-over for the tournament. West Florida and is one-under to pace the field while Saint Leo (E) is second and Georgia Southwestern (+1) third.
Egloff turned in a one-under 71 on Monday and moved into the top-10 at even par for the event. After a birdie to start, he took a double bogey on the second hole of the day and slipped to one-over. The senior fell to three-over after four holes. He got back on track with a birdie at No. 6 and eventually finished the front-nine at two over. Egloff was spectacular on the back, going three-under on the way in to join a group of 23 players at par or better on Monday.
Trystan Perkins also climbed the leaderboard, moving three spots into a tie for 17th. He posted a second-straight 73 and is two-over for the tournament. Nicholas Diebel is up nine spot into a tie for 46th at six-over. He posted a 76 on Sunday and came back with a second-round 74 on Monday.
Rollins starts its final round at 8:30 a.m. on No. 10, playing with Montevallo and Florida Southern. Fans can follow the action on GolfStat.com.
