WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 3, 2017) – The Rollins men's swim team was not able to overcome an experienced Lions team that is now 2-0 on the year. Saint Leo defeated Rollins 207.5-54.5.
The Tars were led by freshman Dan Sulkowski, who was able to take second-place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.82. Registering another second-place finish for the Tars was freshman Kyle Major. The Annandale, Virginia native finished the 200-yard butterfly by touching the wall at 2:04.07.
Chase Benton took third-place in the 50-yard freestyle, while fellow freshman Asa Marvel also recorded a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. Coming in again with another third-place finish was sophomore Luiggi Reno, who was able to tally a time of 2:20.93 in the 200-yard breaststroke. Finally, it was Paul Tobin who transferred from Indian River State College, as he would pick up the Tars fifth third place finish of the night in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55:94.
Rollins will return to the pool on Saturday, November 4, at 12 p.m. when they host the Nova Southeastern Sharks at the Alfond pool.
