CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 15, 2020) – Two individual and one relay record went down for the Rollins men's swim team on Saturday as the Tars capped day three of the Sunshine State Conference Championship.

Rollins is in fifth place in the team standings with 237.5 points. Tampa leads the way with 706 while Nova Southeastern is second at 628. Florida Southern (404) and Saint Leo (31) join the Tars in the top five.
Dan Sulkowski set a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke, tying for fifth with a time of 54.89. He bettered he own record by exactly one second, set at last year's conference meet. Luggi Reno was 16th in the race in 58.71.
Asa Marvel posted a ninth place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, with a school record time of 1:50.37. He also broke his own record of 1:51.90 posted a year ago. Rollins scored big points in the event with Chase Benton taking 14th (1:53.62), Daniel Liew 15th (1:53.68) and Alex Norcini (1:54.36).
The Tars 800-yard freestyle relay finished the day with a bang, finishing fifth in a school record time of 6:47.72. The quartet of Christian Huber, Connor Xu, Andrew Relihan and Norcini were .08 seconds better than their own record from November.
Norcini led the way in the 500-yard freestyle, taking ninth in 4:31.73 while Xu was 16th in 4:37.61. Cruse Sweeney added a 13th place finish in the 100-yard back stroke (51.26).
The Tars will conclude the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Sunday, February 16 at the Long Center in Clearwater.
