Tars Close Road Trip on Sour Note

No. 14 Rollins – 0
No. 15 Hawaii Hilo – 9 

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 15, 2018) – Facing their fourth game in five days with a depleted roster the Tars fell to Hawaii Hilo 9-0 to close their Spring Break, Las Vegas trip.  Rollins falls to 5-8 on the year, while the Vulcans improve to 7-1. 

The Tars would go behind early, losing all three doubles points.  With his normal partner out Guillermo De Nicolas-Ruiz teamed up with Salvadore Bolanos in the third doubles position.  The two fought hard, as first time teammates, but ultimately fell 9-7. 

Rollins would continue to battle in singles play, but still could not wrestle a match away froma Hawaii Hilo.  Nicolas-Ruiz, in the first position, and Bolanos, on the sixth court, each forced third set sets, but could not capture the decisive rounds. 

The Tars will return home where they will face off against Sunshine State Conference foe Florida Tech on Tuesday, March 20, at 3 p.m.
