INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2019) – The Tars earned the sixth-seed in NCAA Division II Men's Tennis South Region Tournament, the organization announced, while releasing the full championship field, Tuesday night. The Tars will face third-seeded West Florida in first round action.

Barry earned the top-seed in the region and will host eighth-seeded Benedict in the first round. Also playing in Miami Shores are fourth-seeded Lynn and fifth-seeded West Alabama. Rollins will travel to Valdosta, Georgia, home of second-seeded Valdosta State for their opening round action. Rollins and West Florida will faceoff for the right to take on the winner of the Blazers and seventh-seeded Saint Leo.
Rollins finished the year at 18-6 and ranked No. 10 in the country. The Tars entered the Sunshine State Conference tournament as the fourth-seed, before upsetting the third-seeded Saint Leo Lions in the third-place match. The Tars have one player, Nicolo De Fraia, and two doubles teams, featured in the ITA National Rankings.
The Tars faced off with their first-round opponent, the Argonauts, in their final non-conference match-up, back on April 7. West Florida defeated a short-handed Rollins squad 4-2 in the contest.
The Tars last NCAA postseason appearance came in 2017, when they fell in the first round to Valdosta State.
