WINTER PARK, Fla. (December 16, 2019) – Rollins jumped out to a 16-point first quarter lead and never looked back, beating Warner University 69-48 at Warden Arena.
Rollins (7-4) defense shined, holding the Royals to 30 percent shooting and winning the rebounding battle 59-29.
Alana St. Clair led Warner (1-11) with 16 point and seven rebounds. Troi Grant tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Rollins held Warner to just two field goals in the first quarter, keeping the Royals scoreless for the final five minutes of the frame, to lead 21-5 after one.
The Tars offensive prowess continued into the second as a Harrison triple with 2:51 left in the half put Rollins ahead 38-13
Rollins went into intermission leading 38-19.
Daniels scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds in the third as the Tars maintained their advantage, leading by as many as 24 and taking a 54-30 advantage into the fourth.
Rollins used an 8-0 run in the middle of the fourth to lead by 28 and erase any hopes of a Warner comeback. The Royals would get no closer than 19 the rest of the way.
