PRINCETON, N.J. (September 29, 2019) – Rollins turned in a second-straight solid round Sunday to finish fifth at the Princeton Invitational.
The Tars started the event fifth after an opening round 297 and remained in the same spot Sunday, closing with a 306 to finish 27-over for the tournament.
Seton Hall led the way at one-under, followed by Princeton (+6), Penn (+10) and Yale (+12). Rollins was the lone Division II school in the field that also featured seven teams from the Ivy League.
Seher Atwal climbed six spots on the leaderboard into a tie for fifth. The senior came into the day at one-over and was nearly flawless Sunday, firing a one-under 71. Her round featured four total birdies, playing the closing nine-holes at two under.
Lara van Staden continued her hot start to the season, tying for 23rd at seven over, posting scores of 75-76. She kept out of trouble Sunday with a scorecard of 14 pars and four bogeys.
Selin Timur tied for 35th, posting rounds of 73-80. After playing the first-nine at seven-over, she recorded birdies on three of the next four holes after the turn to get rolling.
Rollins is back in action Oct. 11-12 at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
