Rollins in the Driver’s Seat at World Golf Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (February 10, 2020) – In a field featuring five of the nation's top-10 ranked teams, Rollins opened up a one stroke lead after 18 holes at the World Golf Invitational.   

Flagler College is serving as host of the event at Slammer & Squire in St. Augustine. 

The fifth-ranked Tars posted a first round 300 and are 12-over for the event. Second-ranked Nova Southeastern is a stroke back in second while No. 10 Florida Southern is in third, just two shots off the lead. 

Fourth-ranked Tampa and sixth-ranked Lynn are also in the field of 18 teams. 

Senior Seher Atwal started her final spring season with a bang, firing a four-under 68 to grab a four-stroke lead on the field. Her score is a collegiate low-round and is the third time she has been par or better this season. 

Katharina Hesse is tied for 17th after a four-over 76. Liza Eubanks is tied for 21st with a first round 77 and Jennifer Jung is a shot back in a tie for 28th

Selin Timur is tied for 34th, shooting an eight-over 80. 

Lara van Staden is playing as an individual and posted a nine-over 81 to tie for 41st

The final round of the World Golf Classic is set for Tuesday, February 11.
