Tars Shutout by Sharks in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (February 24, 2019) – The Tars fell for a second consecutive time, dropping a match to No. 7 Nova Southeastern, 7-0, on the road.  No. 16 Rollins falls to 3-2 on the year, and 0-2 in Sunshine State Conference play.  The Sharks improve to 7-0 overall, and 3-0 in the SSC.

Rollins fell in the first two doubles matches, allowing the Sharks to clinch the point.  The Tars' duo of Alexandra Borg and Teresa Kaiser avoided the sweep by upsetting the No. 12 ranked pair of Obanda and Navas on the top court by a score of 7-5.

The Tars could not carry the momentum from their doubles upset into singles success.  The Sharks swept singles play to send the Tars home without a point from the match.

Rollins will return home to take on Division I Mount St. Mary's on Monday, March 4.  First serve is set for 4 p.m.
